Sources & method

A good story deserves
good questions.

Rachel Archives pairs gripping storytelling with a research method that keeps the sources visible. The video tells the story; the website gives you the sources, the timeline and the debates.

“We don't just tell history,
we dig into it.”
Go back to the sources

Look for ancient texts, translations and specialist work. Give references to anyone who wants to keep researching.

Separate history from tradition

Distinguish what the documents support, what a belief tells, and what comes from later interpretation.

Show the uncertainty

When sources are thin or scholars disagree, explain the limit instead of presenting one answer as certain.

Make knowledge accessible

Tell it clearly, explain technical terms, and keep the names and dates that help people understand the context.
